The torque key is advertised for beginners however, the torque key is " NOT " for beginners.
You must have an ear for pitch and a good knowlege of drum tunning....

I agree, the torque key is a waste of money unless you are an advanced drum tuner.
The torque key will NOT help beginners.
Plus it does not come with any instructions either.
It's a "guess" type of thing.............
Don't waste your money if you think this is an easy tuning aid, it is NOT.

I wasted my money too, the torque key was NO help to me.
I still have to take my drums back to the music store to get the salesman to tune them for me.
The torque key is for very very advanced drum tuners and NOT for beginners like myself. Thank You for your input .....

Instead of leaving STUPID comments,
please name just 1 PRO who tunes with a trashy torque key .
I ended up tuning by ear...i cant seem to get the sound i want out of my 10x12 tom...any suggestions? its not quite a low enough pitch that im looking for..seems ive tried everything! lol HELP!

The Torque Key was designed with good intentions but in reality, it serves NO purpose at all.
The Torque Key does NOT come with any Instructions and the gauge dial has NO actual tuning reference point,
Plus, it is NOT as percise as advertised either, so it will NOT tention each lug evenly !
Once you have developed an ear for Pitch variations, you'll be able to tell that each lug is NOT tentioned evenly with the Torque Key .......
