well, keith, many repubs believe in the state's rights to create its own laws on abortion, not the government sticking its ugly nose in the system. Also, isn't it funny how liberals are fine with muslims immigrating to europe, building mosques wherever (although this wouldn't happen in japan or china) even near the WTC site, and generally not taking a hard line against muslims, when islamic ideology emphasizes female suboordination.
